Atrevi Families Launch Small Businesses with British University Support

The British University has completed its third visit to the Atrevi Valley, during which it launched a micro-franchise program. Three local families are currently participating in the initiative. The University worked closely with each family to identify a specific product they could begin selling. Once the products were selected, the University sourced suitable suppliers and provided the necessary materials to the families. This program offers an opportunity for families to generate additional income and improve their livelihoods.

Looking ahead, the British University plans to maintain ongoing collaboration with these families through a research component. This will involve assessing the impact of the program and supporting participants in strengthening their financial literacy—enabling them to manage profits more effectively and sustainably.

During the visit, the University also met with other interested members of the community and presented the valley’s development strategy. Together, they outlined the next steps, which include identifying key landmarks and attractions that can help shape the valley’s unique identity. The outcomes of the micro-franchise initiative were also shared with the broader community, and residents were once again invited to join the program as a means of generating additional income and fostering local economic development.
