Student excursion to the Museum of Occupation

On October 19, students of the British University in Georgia visited the Museum of the Politically Repressed People during the Soviet Occupation at the base of Kaspi First Gymnasium. The representative of the museum, Ms Nino Niparishvili, introduced the students to the history of the victims of the Soviet regime and viewed the photos and other documentary materials placed in the exhibition halls.

After the tour of the museum, Mikheil Shavtvaladze, a lecturer at the British University in Georgia, spoke to the students about the culture, religion, values and approaches in Georgia within the framework of the study course "Society and Culture in Georgia".

The British University in Georgia thanks the administration of the Museum of the Politically Repressed for organising the tour.
