Seminars at the British University - March 5-6

The British University in Georgia, with the support of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation, has launched an educational project "Youth Hub for Freedom" in cooperation with the Free Democratic Institute, a non-governmental organisation.


The project aims to raise the awareness of young people living in Georgia on important state issues.


The University is implementing the project within the framework of the third mission and plans to host 12 topics in the following seminars: Human Rights, Democracy, Active Citizenship, Self-Government and Regional Development, Georgia-EU Relations, Conflict, Defense and Security, Foreign Policy, Terrorism, Economy, Education, Georgia-NATO cooperation.


On March 5-6, the University hosted two seminars:

  • Human Rights - Beka Mindiashvili, Expert Center for Tolerance with the Public Defender
  • Liberal Democracy - Professor Levan Berdzenishvili
