BUG Talks - Public Speaking Competition

British Teaching University in Georgia offers BUG Talks competition to public and private school students of classes X - XII, allowing them to talk about current social issues in front of a wide audience.

Within the framework of the project, all contestants will have the opportunity to meet the mentors appointed by the British University, who will be actively involved in preparing the presentation and assisting them.


Contest topic: Current Social Issues and Challenges


Competition format:

  • Contestants should prepare a 5-7 minute speech on the selected topic in PowerPoint format;
  • Candidates must present individually;
  • The language of the presentation is English;



Competition deadlines:

  • Registration from November 15 to 27, 2022;

  • Informational meetings with registered candidates will be held on December 3 and 10, 2022 (time and place will be notified individually by email/phone);
  • Additional meetings with mentors are determined based on the needs of the contestants;
  • Competition date: December 17, 2022 (time and place will be determined later);



A competent jury will evaluate project participants.


Within the framework of the competition, the first, second and third place students will be identified, who will be awarded:

  • 1st place - Smart Watch
  • II and III place - Air Pods


  • English Book Education will give all participants of the competition a 50% discount voucher on books;
  • Also, all participants of the competition will receive a certificate of participation in the project.
