Reduced Tuition Fees for Georgian Students Starting September 2026

Reduced Tuition Fees for Georgian Students Starting September 2026

In line with the Ministry of Education’s new policy initiative aimed at making higher education more affordable for Georgian citizens, the British University is proud to announce a significant reduction in annual tuition fees for Georgian students enrolled in its programmes validated by the University of Buckingham.

Beginning September 2026, the annual tuition fee for Georgian students joining the University’s validated programmes will be set at 8,500 GEL. This adjustment reflects the University’s commitment to supporting national educational priorities and ensuring broader access to high-quality, internationally recognised degrees.

At present, the two University of Buckingham–validated programmes delivered at the British University are:

  • BA Business and Management

  • BA Political Science

In addition, the University has 10 new programmes currently undergoing the validation process with Buckingham. Further updates will be shared once these programmes receive formal approval.

Fee Reduction Opportunity for Current Students

In line with its dedication to student support and equity, the British University will also offer current Georgian students the opportunity to transition to the new annual fee of 8,500 GEL from September 2026, provided they meet the following requirement:

  • Maintain 90% attendance or higher during the academic year.

Students who already receive scholarships will continue to benefit from them, as outlined in the University’s recently announced student benefits initiative. The University emphasises that fee adjustments cannot be implemented mid-year; therefore, all changes will take effect starting September 2026.

Supporting Accessibility and Excellence

This decision underscores the British University’s ongoing commitment to aligning with both international standards and Georgia’s national vision for a more accessible higher education system. By reducing tuition fees while maintaining rigorous academic quality through UK validation, the University aims to expand opportunities for Georgian students to pursue globally recognised qualifications without financial barriers.

The institution will continue to update the public as new programme validations are completed and additional initiatives are introduced.
