School of Social Sciences and Public Affairs Council Elections
British University has successfully completed the School Council elections for the School of Social Sciences and Public Affairs, reinforcing the School’s commitment to participatory governance, academic self-management, and inclusive decision-making.
The election process brought together academic staff and students, ensuring representative participation from across the School community. As a result of the election, the new members of the School Council have now been formally elected.
The School Council plays a vital role in supporting academic quality, strengthening student and staff engagement, and contributing to discussions on teaching, learning, research, and public engagement within the School of Social Sciences and Public Affairs. Through this collegial body, elected members participate actively in shaping the School’s academic priorities and strategic direction.
The newly elected Council members will be involved in addressing key academic and organisational matters and in supporting the continuous development of the School in line with the University’s mission and values.
The Dean of the School will shortly convene the first meeting of the newly elected Council, during which the Council’s priorities, responsibilities, and work plan will be outlined.
